WHO WE ARE

Real people. Genuine care.

A deep understanding of what it means to support practitioners behind the scenes.

MEET EMMA

Welcome!

I’m so glad you’re here!

I started The Virtual Collective because I wanted work that meant something - work that let me show up for my family, live a life I actually loved, and still make a genuine difference to the people I worked with.

I'm a mum to two wonderfully energetic boys, a farmer's wife, and someone who has always been drawn to the space behind the scenes - the systems, the processes, the quiet work that keeps everything running.

I know what it means to build something while juggling everything else life throws at you. And I know how much it matters to have the right support around you when you do.

That's exactly what The Virtual Collective is built on.

THE JOURNEY

How it all began

Before this, I spent years in education - as a teacher and wellbeing leader in schools. When my family moved back into farming and settled into rural life, I found myself looking for something that could grow alongside everything else. Something flexible, meaningful, and mine.

I made the decision to step into the virtual world, and it didn't take long to realise I had found exactly where I was meant to be. I loved the backend. The organising, the planning, the systems, the problem-solving. And more than anything, I loved the feeling of genuinely helping someone.

What started as something small, something just for me, grew quickly into something much more. A business. A collective. A vision for what virtual support could really look like when it's done with real care and real expertise.

I never planned for it to become what it is today, but I'm so glad it did!

THE EXPERTISE

The knowledge we bring

I came into this space with a background that goes beyond admin. Holding a Bachelor of Applied Science in Psychology and a Graduate Diploma of Education, alongside my experience in the wellbeing space, provided me a genuine understanding of the allied health world - and that's something I bring to every client relationship.

We understand the language of allied health. We understand the weight of what practitioners carry, the sensitivity of client relationships, and the standards that can't be compromised. We work exclusively in this space, which means you spend less time explaining your world to us, and more time doing the role you worked so hard for.

We're experienced across the systems that matter, and we bring that knowledge from day one.

OUR MISSION

Why this matters to us

One of the things I'm most passionate about is creating meaningful, flexible work for women and mums.

I know firsthand what it feels like to want more than just a job - to want work that fits around your life, not the other way around. Work that lets you be present for the school runs and the sick days and the adventures, while still doing something that genuinely matters.

The Virtual Collective is built on that belief. The women who work within our collective bring professionalism, experience, and genuine care to everything they do - because this work means something to them too.

"When you work with us, you're not just supporting your own practice. You're part of something that supports theirs."

THE COLLECTIVE

More than just one person

The Virtual Collective is exactly what its name suggests - a collective of dedicated, experienced virtual assistants, each carefully selected and supported by Emma.

Every client begins with Emma - because the right fit matters, and she takes that seriously. From there, you're matched with a dedicated VA who becomes your consistent point of contact. Someone who knows your practice, your systems, and your standards - and who shows up for you, every week.

Emma remains in the background throughout - available, involved, and invested in making sure everything runs exactly as it should.

Boutique support, by design. Small enough to care deeply. Experienced enough to do it well.

WHAT WE STAND FOR

Our Values

Relationships first

We believe the best work comes from genuine connection. We take time to understand your practice, and we show up consistently.

Boutique by design

We keep our collective small and our standards high. You'll always know who you're working with.

Flexibility with professionalism

Great support should flex around your practice, not the other way around. It’s delivered without ever compromising on professionalism or care.

Genuine care

For our clients, for their practices, and for the people within our own collective. Care isn't just a value, it's how we operate.

Ready?

The best way to get a feel for who we are is a conversation. Book a discovery call with Emma. No obligation, no pressure - just a chat about your practice and whether we're the right fit.
